Northstar shines!
The Media Computing Competition (MEC) is organised by Curriculum Planning and Development Division (CPDD), Sciences Branch, Computer Education Unit. The objective is to provide a platform to showcase students’ work; develop students’ interest in media design; and to hone students’ presentation and communication skills. Congratulations to Edwin Teo Yi Meng from 3A6 for being awarded the Platinum Award in the MEC Competition 2019 Game Category! Well done Northstar!

Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation – Malay Dance
On 2 April, our Malay Dancers performed their SYF piece beautifully with confidence and grace. Their unique Spanish-Malay outfits certainly accentuated their performance too. They were awarded the Certificate of Accomplishment. Congratulations to our Malay Dance and our teachers!
NSG - B-Division Hockey (Boys) – Champion (Bowl Category)
The National School Games (NSG) is the largest annual inter-school competition in Singapore organised by schools for schools. Northland is proud to announce that our B Division Boys emerged Champion in the Bowl Category! Congratulations Northstars!
Northstars Shine! - SHF B-Division Hockey 5-A-Side competition
The Hockey 5-A-Side event is a yearly event organised by Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF). The event aims at promoting Hockey through small groups participation and serves as a playing arena for young Hockey enthusiasts. We are proud to announce that our boys’ team emerged runners-up and our girls’ team emerged 3rd Runners-up! Well done Northstars!
Northstars Shine! - National Junior League
The National Junior League is a yearly competition organised by Singapore Hockey Federation (SHF). It serves to promote the sport and provide a platform for young sporting talents. Northland is proud to announce that our Hockey boys’ team emerged runners-up in the SHF Under-19 National Junior League. Our Hockey girls clinched the second runners-up position in the girls’ competition and Nurin Izyani Binte Zalani from 3A4 was recognised as the top scorer of the competition!
NORTHSTARS SHINE! - Southeast Asian Pipe Band Championships
Our school is proud to announce that our Pipe Band has achieved stellar results in the Southeast Asian Pipe Band Championships on 1st and 2nd June. The Championships is a competitive pipe band event held in Singapore. It is in line with international piping standards and conducted at both solo and band categories.

B Division Floorball Captain
The NSG Opening Ceremony this year took place on 23 January 2019 at the OCBC Arena Hall 1 of the Singapore Sports Hub. Every year, the ceremony includes an oath-taking segment by representatives amongst student athletes, coaches and officials. This year, our B Division Floorball Captain, Quhaziq Bin Muhammad Nasirruddin (4R4) has the honour of representing his sport as the oath-taker taking the athletes’ oath.
