Northstars Shine @ Southeast Asia Pipe Band Championship 2023

On 3 and 4 June 2023, Northland Secondary School had the honour of hosting the Singapore and Southeast Asia Pipe Band Championship 2023. NSS’ Pipe Band and Drums CCA, in collaboration with the Pipe Band Association of Singapore, successfully organised and ran the two-day competition which also saw our very own Northstars taking part in various solo competition events as well as the band competition category alongside various local schools and competitors from neighbouring countries. The following Northstars also did us proud by achieving the following awards:

PIPING 14 Years and Under, 2nd place: Cash Ng Thiam Hong (Huang TianHong), 2 Rigel

PIPING 14 Years and Under, 3rd place: Zhou Yinzhi, 2 Pollux

Tenor Drum 14 Years and Under, 1st place: Lee Wei Jun, 2 Castor

BASS Drum 14 Years and Under, 1st place: Muhammad Akalil Bin Asrulnizam, 2 Antares
